"2019 Georgia Senior Chess Championship" 2-day chess tournament

4 rounds, G/120, d/10.
Sat rounds: 10AM-3:30PM
Sun rounds: 10AM-3:30PM
Maximum one half-point bye available for any round, must request before the start of round 2!
Entry Fee - $50 if paid online, by phone or mailed check, or in person by midnight day before event; $60 day of event.
Registration 9:00am-9:45am day of event, or call (678) 628-5615 by midnight day before event to register by phone.
Prizes: 60% of Entry Fee based on 30 entries.
Example prizes if 30 entries (prizes higher if more entries):
Open - 1st $300, 2nd $175, 3rd $100, 1st U1800/UNR $60
U1600 section - 1st $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50, 1st U1200/UNR $40
Championship trophy and title will go to the winner of the Open Section. GCA will be offering a $500 stipend to the winner of the Open Section to attend the 2020 US Senior Open. Only Georgia residents are available for the championship title, stipend, or trophy. All players, regardless of the state in which they reside, are eligible for cash prizes.
In case of a tie for first place, players will play two G/10 d5. After those games, if a tie persists, players will play one "Armageddon" game with White getting 6 minutes to Black's 4 minutes, both sides receiving 5-second delay, and Black having draw-odds.

**Unrated players should play in the bottom section or in a higher section if approved by the TD.* *
USCF Rated. USCF Required (can be purchased on site).
